චෙන්නායිහිදී ඉන්දීය ආරක්ෂක අංශ විසින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සකීර් හුසේන් නම් ශ්‍රී ලාංකික මුස්‌ලිම් ජාතිකයා පාකිස්‌තාන ඔත්තු සේවය මගින් කුලියට ගත් පුද්ගලයකු බව හෙළිව තිබේ.
කොළඹ පාකිස්‌තාන තානාපති කාර්යාලය මගින් මොහුට පවරා තිබූ රාජකාරිය වන්නේ චෙන්නායි හා බැංගලෝර්හි පිහිටි ඇමරිකානු හා ඊශ්‍රායල් කොන්සල් කාර්යාල පිළිබඳ ඔත්තු බැලීම බව මොහු විසින් ඉන්දීය ආරක්ෂක අංශ වෙත හෙළිකර ඇත.
සකීර් හුසේන් ඉකුත් අප්‍රේල් 29 වැනිදා චෙන්නායි නුවරදී අත්අඩංගුවට පත් විය.
මොහු විසින් ඇමරිකානු හා ඊශ්‍රායල් තානාපති කාර්යාලයේ පිහිටීම හා එහි දොරටු ඡායාරූප ගත කර ඇති අතර ඒවාද ඉන්දීය ආරක්ෂක අංශ මගින් සොයාගෙන ඇති බව ටයිම්ස්‌ ඔප් ඉන්දියා පුවත්පත කියයි.
Central Intelligence Agencies of India and the Tamil Nadu police have busted a major terror network with the arrest of a Sri Lankan national with links to Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in Chennai yesterday.
The suspect has been identified as 37-year-old Sri Lankan; Sakir Hussain hailed from Kandy and traveled between Sri Lanka and India pretending that he was engaged in business.
A senior officer attached to the Central Intelligence Agencies of India told the Times of India that Hussain has allegedly been handled by a senior official in the Pakistan High commission in Colombo.
He also said that Hussain was assigned to recruit youths from Tamil Nadu for terror activities apart from his job of espionage.
At the same time, Central Intelligence Agencies of India said that it acted on a tip-off and laid a trap to round up the suspect.
