Genesis Chapter 1:

Light was created on the first day (Verse # 3-5)

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

The cause of light, stars and the sun etc. was created on the fourth day (verse # 14-19)

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

How can the cause of light be created on the fourth day later than the light which came into existence on the first day?

How can there be a night and day without the earth?

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. 11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

The above verses 9 to 13 says that the earth was created on the third day and the verses 3 to 5 says that the night and day was created on the first day. The day depends upon the rotation of the earth.  Without the earth created, how can we have a night and day on the first day?

Also the above verses 9 to 13 says that the earth was created on the third day and the verses 14 to 19 says that the sun and the moon were created on the fourth day.  Today science tells us that the earth is part of the parent body the sun.  It cannot come into existence before the sun.

How can the vegetation come into existence without sunlight, and how can they survive without sunlight?

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13And the evening and the morning were the third day.

The verses 11 to 13 says that the vegetation, the herbs the shrubs, the trees were created on the third day And the sun, according to the verses 14 to 19, was created on the fourth day.

Almighty God created the Heavens and the Earth in six days

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Today science tells us that the universe cannot be created in a 24 hour period of six days.

The world will perish or the world will live forever?Hebrews Chapter 1:

10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

Psalms Chapter 102:

25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. 26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:

Psalms Chapter 78:

69 And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the earth which he hath established for ever.

Ecclesiastes Chapter 1:

4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.

Which of the above verses are correct?  The earth will perish or remain for ever?

Other Errors

1. Purification After Childbirth!: Leviticus, Ch. No. 12

1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 “Say to the Israelites: ‘A woman who becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son will be ceremonially unclean for seven days, just as she is unclean during her monthly period. 3 On the eighth day the boy is to be circumcised. 4 Then the woman must wait thirty-three days to be purified from her bleeding. She must not touch anything sacred or go to the sanctuary until the days of her purification are over. 5 If she gives birth to a daughter, for two weeks the woman will be unclean, as during her period. Then she must wait sixty-six days to be purified from her bleeding.

A woman remains unclean for double the period, if she gives birth to a daughter, as compared to a son!!!

2. The Test for an Unfaithful Wife!: Book of Numbers, Ch. No. 5

27 If she has defiled herself and been unfaithful to her husband, then when she is made to drink the water that brings a curse, it will go into her and cause bitter suffering; her abdomen will swell and her thigh waste away, and she will become accursed among her people. 28 If, however, the woman has not defiled herself and is free from impurity, she will be cleared of guilt and will be able to have children.

3. Cleansing From Infectious Skin Diseases!: Leviticus Ch.No. 14
1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 “These are the regulations for the diseased person at the time of his ceremonial cleansing, when he is brought to the priest: 3 The priest is to go outside the camp and examine him. If the person has been healed of his infectious skin disease, 4 the priest shall order that two live clean birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop be brought for the one to be cleansed. 5 Then the priest shall order that one of the birds be killed over fresh water in a clay pot. 6He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water. 7 Seven times he shall sprinkle the one to be cleansed of the infectious disease and pronounce him clean. Then he is to release the live bird in the open fields.

4. A bat is not a bird.  But sadly the Bible says:

These are the birds you are to detest and not eat because they are detestable: the eagle, … any kind of heron, the hoopoe and the bat (Leviticus 11:13-19)

You may eat any clean bird. But these you may not eat: the eagle, … any kind of heron, the hoopoe and the bat. (Deuteronomy 14:11-17)

5. Rabbits do not chew their cud

The rabbit, though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof; … (Leviticus 11:6)

6. Insects have more than four legs.

All flying insects that walk on all fours are to be detestable to you. There are, however, some winged creatures that walk on all fours that you may eat: … Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket, or grasshopper. (Leviticus 11:20-22)

7. Snakes don’t eat dirt:

So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, … You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust…” (Genesis 3:14)

8. Camels have split hooves:

There are some that only chew the cud or only have a split hoof, but you must not eat them. The camel, though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof; it is ceremonially unclean for you. (Leviticus 11:4)

9. The earth isn’t stationary as once thought:

… The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. (Psalms 93:1)

… The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. (1 Chronicles 16:30)

He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved. (Psalms 104:5)

Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel: “O sun, stand still over Gibeon, O moon, over theValley of Aijalon. (Joshua 10:12) .

The church used these passages to convict Galileo of heresy.

10. The earth is not flat, as once thought. It has no corners at all, and “ends of the earth” is not typically interpreted as from outer space:

… he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth. (Isaiah 11:12)

Oh Lord, … to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth… (Jeremiah 16:19)

… and there before me stood a tree in the middle of the land. Its height was enormous. The tree grew large and strong and its top touched the sky; it was visible to the ends of the earth. (Daniel 4:10-11)

11. Earth has pillars!:

3 When the earth and all its people quake, it is I who hold its pillars firm. (Psalms 75:3)

6 He shakes  the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble. (Job 9:6)

12. All trees bearing fruits bearing seeds are food!: Genesis Ch. No. 1

29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.

Today, even a layman knows that there are several poisonous plants like wild berries, plants containing alkaloid – that which if you ingest, or if you eat there are high possibilities you may die. How come the Creator of the universe and the human beings does not know that if you eat these plants that you may die?

13. Unicorn Existed!:     Isaiah, Chapter 34, Verse No.7

And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.

14. The Son is 2 years older than the father! Chronicles II

20 Thirty and two years old was he (Jehoram) when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired. Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings.  (Chapter 21)

1And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned. 2 Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign. (Chapter 22)

The father was 40 years old when died and the son was 42 years old when started to reign.  Even in Hollywood film, you will not be able to produce it.

Also 2 Kings 8:26 – Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign;

Was Ahaziah 22 years old or 42 year sold?

Volumes after volumes on errors in the Bible can be written.  We invite everybody to accept the truth in one true God.  Remember Krishna is Hindu god, Buddha is Buddhist god, and Christ is Christian god. Why believe in so any human gods.  Believe in one powerful omnipotent and omniscient God who does not cry out loud from the cross My God, my God why have you forsaken me!

Mark Ch. No. 15 34And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?”–Which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”) How can God leave God!

Also Jesus (peace be upon him) never preached Christianity.  He lived as a Jew and died as a Jew.  He was never born on 25th of December and he never ate pork.  May Allah guide all the Christians, Jews, Hindus, and all the other non-Muslims to the only true path.  Ameen.

And What About God?

Do Buddhist believe in a Creator-God?

Buddhists believe that  there are beings that inhabit the various celestial realms. These are variously called angels, spirits, gods and devas by various cultures. But do Buddhists believe that a God created everything and manipulate human lives? No, we do not. There are several reasons for this. Modern sociologists and psychologists, believed that religious ideas and especially the Creator-God idea have their origin in fear. The Buddha says:

“Gripped by fear men go to the sacred mountains, sacred groves, sacred trees and shrines ~  Dhammapada 188”

Primitive man found himself in a dangerous and hostile world, the fear of wild animals, of not being able to find enough food, of injury or disease, and of natural phenomena like thunder, lightning and volcanoes was constantly with him. Finding no security, he created the idea of a God that gives him comfort in good times, courage in times of danger and consolation when things went wrong. To this day, you will notice that people become more religious at times of crises, you will hear them say that the belief in a God gives them the strength they need to deal with life. You will hear them explain that they believe in a particular God because they prayed in time of need and their prayer was answered. All this supports the Buddha’s teaching that the God-idea is a response to fear and frustration. The Buddha taught us to try to understand our fears, to lessen our desires and to calmly and courageously accept the things we cannot change. He replaced fear, not with irrational belief but with rational understanding.

The second reason the Buddhists do not believe in a Creator-God is because there does not seem to be any evidence to support this idea. There are numerous religions, all claiming that they alone have God’s words preserved in their holy book, that they alone understand God’s nature, that their God exists and that the Gods of other religions do not. Some claim that God is masculine, some that she is feminine and others that it is neuter. They are all satisfied that there is ample evidence to prove the existence of their God but they laugh in disbelief at the evidence other religions use to prove the existence of another God. For centuries, men have prayed to God for protection from war, from natural calamities and disease. Yet till today, these prayers remain unanswered. This is not surprising.  Even less surprising is that so many different religions having spent so many centuries trying to prove the existence of their God there remains no real, substantial or irrefutable evidence.

The third reason the Buddhists do not believe in a Creator-God is that the belief is not necessary. Some claim that the belief in a God is necessary in order to explain the origin on the universe. But this is not so. Science has very convincingly explained how the universe came into being without having to introduce the God-idea. Some claim that belief in God is necessary to have a happy, meaningful life. Again we can see that this is not so. There are millions of atheists and free-thinkers, not to mention many Buddhists, who live useful, happy and meaningful lives without belief in a God. Some claim that belief in God’s power is necessary because humans, being weak, do not have the strength to help themselves. Once again, the evidence indicates the opposite. One often hears of people who have overcome great disabilities and handicaps, enormous odds and difficulties, through their own inner resources, through their own efforts and without belief in a God. Some claim that God is necessary in order to give man salvation. But this argument only holds good if you accept the theological concept of salvation and there is no reason nor any other reasonable basis to accept such a concept.  Based on his own experience, the Buddha saw that each human being had the capacity to purify the mind, develop infinite love and compassion and perfect understanding. He shifted attention from the heavens to the heart and encouraged us to find solutions to our problems through self-understanding.

“He who has eyes can see the sickening sight, Why does not God set his creatures right?
If his wide power no limit can restrain, Why is his hand so rarely spread to bless?
Why are his creatures all condemned to pain? Why does he not to all give happiness?
Why do fraud, lies, and ignorance prevail? Why triumphs falsehood — truth and justice fail?
I count your God one among the unjust , who made a world in which to shelter wrong.” ~ Bhuridatta Jataka”

But so many people believe in some form of a Creator, it must be true.

Not so. There was a time when everyone believed that the world was flat, but they were all wrong. The number of people who believe in an idea is no measure of the truth or falsehood of that idea.  The only way we can tell whether an idea is true or not is by looking at the facts and examining the evidence.  If people continue to believe in God, they do so through faith, and faith is simply holding on to a belief when reason, logic and the evidence says otherwise.

So if Buddhists don’t believe in God, what do you believe in?

Each human being is precious and important, as all have the potential to develop the qualities of a Buddha – a perfected human being.  Human beings can outgrow ignorance and irrationality and see things as they really are. Hatred, anger, spite and jealousy can be replaced by love, patience, generosity and kindness. All this is within the grasp of each person if they make the effort, are guided and supported by fellow Buddhists and inspired by the example of the Buddha.

So if Buddhists do not believe in God, is it an atheistic religion?

Buddhism is an atheistic religion only because it rejects the theistic and primitive concept of a Creator-God.  The idea of God as a bearded old man looking down at us from the heavens and manipulating humans like in a puppet show appears ridiculous. Instead, Buddhists have as their highest ideal the state of Nirvana. The Buddha calls it the highest bliss. It is a state beyond all conceptual thought and is described by the Buddha as the Unborn, the Uncreated.

“There is O monks, an Unborn, Unoriginated, Uncreated, Unformed.  Were there not, o monks, this Unborn, Unoriginated, Uncreated, Unformed, there would be no escape from the world of the born, originated, created, formed. ~ Udana, 80-81”

Buddhism teaches that the focus of our attention should not be an imaginary God and pointless speculation about what such a God did in the past and what he will do in the future.  Instead, Buddhism is immensely more pragmatic.  It teaches to focus our attention on ourselves, – to determine what is the cause of our sorrows and pain and to find a way to liberate ourselves from these.  These teachings are encapsulated in the Four Noble Truths.
