This group has been allowed to disperse after countering the Catholic Action aggression of the 1960’s.
Unfortunately, new Catholic Action zealots have become active under the Presidential leadership of Bishop Vianney Fernando and Chairman Bishop Winston Fernando and their other Bishop colleagues.
Whether they have taken the Jesuits Oath or not, they have allegiance only to this Pope in Rome . He is also a hard-liner.
I suggest to not go to sleep on this one they have plenty of unpleasant techniques.

After getting freedom from the colonialists the Catholics entered all the top Government positions, and army and Customs and visas and even the radio. They tried a coup – take power, I think, but were stopped. They wanted to take power. LH. Mettananda formed a group – Bauddha Jatika balavegaya. With the help of Swrd Banranaiake they pushed the Catholics down. But now, they have come back, but in a different way. Ask Venerable Dhammananda for the BJB history.
