Honour killing: Family kills girl for marrying classmate
source:In yet another shocking report from Haryana, a second-year BBA student has been allegedly killed by her family for marrying her classmate who belonged to a different caste. Indu, the victim, had married her friend Ajay against her parents wishes. Indu’s parents had convinced her in-laws to let her go home with them after the wedding. But later, a friend informed Ajay that his wife had died and was being cremated in haste. The police at first allegedly refused to register a case of honour killing and murder and detained Ajay and his father. The Panipat police has registered a case under section 302, 201 and 120 B against the girl’s father, mother and two other persons.
