Your location is visible to you accurately and clearly.
Ask a question?
Are you in an external place or is this place your own product ?
Didn’t understand.
99.9999% say that I am in an outside place. Say … Kandy , Colombo , Home , etc. That is, the place is already outside of you. That’s where you are now. But if someone says you are in a place that you made or a self-made place, you will definitely be surprised.
What ?????
How is that?
According to Science, the image formed in the brain is what you recognize as place. You can’t tell where you are now until you develop a brain picture.
Shall we do a test?
Suppose you are in Kandy. 99.99999% think that we are in Kandy. But, if Kandy is a product of your brain?
What is that ?
Let’s analyze!
You know Kandy only after a picture is formed in your brain. You recognize Kandy as the image is in your brain. Not that outside Kandy is diagnosed by you. You cannot recognize something external until you have an image of it in your brain. If there is no picture in brain , you cannot say how Kandy is.
Good! Suppose you are in Colombo. You recognize Colombo only after the image is formed in your brain.
Good! Let’s just assume that while you are in Colombo, a picture of Kandy is formed in your brain. Now you are in Colombo but you say you are in Kandy.
What ?????????
Shall I prove this ?
e.g.; There is a question that a doctor often asks emergency patients brought to the hospital. “Where are you now?”. That is the question. Some patients say that even though they are in the hospital, I am at home or somewhere else. If their eyes are examined, there is no defect in vision. The eye looks good. But he sees the hospital as home. So they say they are at home.
Is a hospital the real home of the patient ?
Look! You are not in an external place, but in a place in your brain. That means the place is your own product.
This is not only related to seeing, but also applies to the other 4 sensations.
Substitute Mind for “brain” here in this article. That is then the explanation of Abhidharma.
Thank you!
