Life’s movie (wisdom 3)
Suppose a man went to a cinema hall to watch a film for the 1st time in his life. He may feel as he has gone to a new world inside the cinema hall. Nothing, except the movie, is seen around, when the film is started. It’s totally a separate world, where he can feel desire & hatred on & off.
But if this person is a little brilliant enough, he may be vigilant about what’s going on inside this hall. Then he sees a little window up through which a light comes out & drops on a wall called “screen”. If he wants to examine it further he goes up & sees a rapidly rotated machine sends a series of pictures out to be dumped on that screen where world of pictures created.
Then he realizes that rapidity makes the people to believe that the pictures on the screen are alive & making a permanent type of a world created on the screen.
MACHINE + PICTURES + SCREEN = WORLD.
I.e. The world is created by 3 causes. Rapid succession makes the delusion (i.e.one picture followed by another).
We have cause & effect theory here. 3 causes get together & form an effect (the world).
That means THE WORLD WHICH CREATED IS NEITHER EXISTED NOR NON-EXISTED. It is formed FROM MOMENT TO MOMENT .i.e. the world has a MOMENTARY ERUPTION.
SAME THING HAPPENS IN THE CASE OF MIND.
Continuous flow of pictures or shadows in mind make the people to believe that there is a permanent type of world in out side, like in above example. BUT ONLY SHADOWS OR REFLECTIONS ARE AVAILABLE.
As long as the screen is available, you have movies.
As long as the mind is available, you have movies in mind.
No more screen means no more movies.
No more mind (Nibbana) means no more world. No more world means no more birth, no more diseases, no more aging, no more death.
