Fifteen years after Velupillai Prabhakaran’s death, the leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and the end of Sri Lanka’s war, his family warns of a significant fraud by some sections of the Tamil diaspora. They allege these groups have deceived millions of dollars from Tamils worldwide under the guise of resurrecting Prabhakaran and his daughter Dwaraka Prabhakaran. Karthic Manoharan, speaking on behalf of Prabhakaran’s family, clarified that all members of Prabhakaran’s family are deceased and expressed concern over ongoing exploitation by these fraudulent diaspora groups since the war’s end in 2009.
