Two men allegedly involved in attempts to revive the LTTE have been deported from Abu Dhabi and they have now been arrested by the police Terrorist Investigations Division (TID), police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said.

According to the police spokesman, the two LTTE suspects had been arrested at the Katunayake airport after they arrived in the country and are now being questioned on attempts to revive the LTTE.

The police spokesman said that the two men, identified as Sebastianpillai Robert and Thavabalan Anushan, had traveled to Abu Dhabi on forged travel documents.

He said that Sebastianpillai Robert was earlier arrested in 2009 and was released the following year on conditional bail. (Colombo Gazette)
