Priest reveals LTTE explosives cache in Nuwara Eliya

Acting on information elicited from a priest under interrogation, police yesterday recovered 316 Kilogrammes of high explosives buried in an estate in the Nuwara Eliya police area.
The explosives comprised 300 Kilogrammes of TNT, 16 Kgs of C4, two T 56 assault rifles and a stock of ammunition.
The military said the priest had been a member of a group assigned to move arms, ammunition and explosives to various parts of the South.
