Passengers at the Kandy–Colombo InterCity bus halt continue to raise concerns about disorderly queues and the lack of proper management during peak hours. On busy mornings and special holidays, the absence of fixed‑time dispatching and clear supervision often leads to frustration, pushing, and disputes among commuters.

Community members stress that random involvement of staff or appointed persons in queue control is not sufficient. They point out that unauthorized individuals sometimes attempt to form separate queues, creating confusion and even trespass situations. This undermines discipline and increases the risk of arguments.

Residents urge the transport authorities to introduce structured queue lanes, fixed departure schedules, and CCTV monitoring. They emphasize that only trained staff should manage queues to ensure fairness, safety, and public confidence in the transport system.
